From: PegG on 11/16/2003
Using Windows ME and after doing a defrag and disk cleanup on my computer, when I restart I get a blue screen with this message: Windows error OE:018F:BFF77328. When I restart again, it takes me into the safe mode. How do I find out what this problem is to correct it? PLEASE HELP.

ffr is a temperary fix. if you have that problem, and you to a ffr the problem comes black. it's a software conflict with windows and any type of aggressive software. check for software patches for all programs.

I am also experiencing the blue screen with a 018F BFF77328. It comes up when I try to use the restart from the start up menu. I have a Gateway Essential 800C PC with ME.
I think it may be something related to the display adapter or Power management module. Whe I restart it also takes the computer to the safe mode at times.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem it is very aggravating. Gateway only confuses the issues with their instructions to correct the problem because you never get the same person to provide corrective advice.

I'm presently researching this exact-same problem. (The same error code anyway. I'm not sure that defrag or disk cleanup are involved..) Could you post some more information about your equipment/configuration? I'm seeing this on a Gateway Essencial 930C w/ 128mb running MS Windows ME v4.90.3000 (Build 3000).
