I am running windows 98se, with a 500Mghtz AMD K6 chip. The problem that I have is that I constantly get a blue screen with the error message <fatal exception OE at 0028:C003C316 in VxD IOS (01)+ 0000146E>, when trying to burn using the ACER CD/RW.

The CD/RW also powers up for no reason, mainly while I am on the internet but also when using other applications; the computer then slows down considerably, I have to then re-boot the Pc.
Do I need a new CD/RW?

if this not helps , download the latest driver for your cd-drive.
