This annoying problem always occurs when I am downloading a files or while installing games.

Can anyone help how to solve this problem?

Disable the cache momery from bios...if it works then eg no errors... then its that

I don't know how to fix it, but i know what it's all about. It's about cache in HDD (even greater if you have 8mb o cache in your hdd). The problem lies in the vxd driver. Maybe someone will help. I heard that win XP helps ;]

Which graphic adapter and driver do you use? Are you using a GeForce + pre-4.13.01.2240 driver?

so, you've changed the following:

- Motherboard
- memory
- graphics card

yet you still recieve the same error message.
perhaps it is in your Windows OS that the problem lies, or in a program that you install with it.

You have bad memory or incompatible memory in your pc.

I get an almost identical error when installing programs.

Mine is VCACHE(01) + 000015A4
Error:0E:0028:C004EC40

and once I hit the magic "any" key I then get a second error of

Error 0E:0028:0050FD03

I recently upgraded my video card to a new 128 meg card, and it is still doing this after I did a format/reload and after installing a new hdd and installing windows ME on the new hdd. I have swapped out memory sticks and receive the same msg. I have changed Motherboards and received the same msg. I am out of ideas. If anyone else has an idea I would also be grateful to hear about it.
