HP 8000 printer mixes print jobs up

the HP has been working fine, but for some reason now it mixes jobs. 3 pages from one job, 2 from next, 3 from an third then back to the 2nd for 2 pages... any ideas? Windows 2000 network. windows 2000 clients.
