Running Windows 2000, Word 2000. Normally, when opening a word document from a website, it simply opens it directly in the Internet Explorer, but instead it is opening a session of word but it just is entirely greyed out. It also does open the document in the Internet explorer window, which is behind the greyed out ms Word window. And, of course, if I am to try closing the word window, it gives the Winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed." error.Also if I have Word open before I try clicking on the word document from the web, it opens it in explorer fine with no problems. It's only when Word is not open that the greyed, blank MS Word window appears. Has anyone come across something like this before?
