Msimn has caused an error in KRNL386.EXE Post a Reply
From: Jeanne on 03/25/2003
Using WindowsME, Compaq with Athlon 1.1gig processor - 256 Mb memory

I updated Windows not long ago and ever since I get a lot of error
messages such as the one in subject line above.
Most of the errors are caused by Msimn.

I get a lot of freeze-ups on IE6. CTRL-ALT-Del does not work when this happens, and I have to shut down improperly.
I also get freeze-ups on OE.

Help!
Thanks, Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,

I had the same problem with MSIMN (i.e. Outlook Express) under Windows 98SE, and I would suggest you rebuild the telephon.ini file. It worked fine for me.

Check out the Microsoft Knowledge Base, article #120221 :

Hope this help...

Regards

Marc

I've had alook at the error message and my searches bring me nearly always to Outlook express, which may explain the problems you are having with I.E6, I think you should check your memory module is sat correctly and also just for extra precaution change the memory module over to another module to see if the erorrs re-occur,
