 when power shuts off by accident must reinstall wi Post a Reply

whenever the power shuts off (e.g. you step on the cord)or you do control-alt-delete, windows will not start up properly, and i have to reinstall from the c:> each time. How can i prevent it from happening again. i have tons of memory, but it just seems so unstable nonetheless. any help GREATLY appreciated

prob might not help, but why not try takin out ya hard drive, fitting it on another comp and copying across the files ya need? that way reformatting don't sound so paifull

Go into windows and backup your computer, then Blatt it and re-install windows, alternatively you can look at the bootlog.txt file for corrupt files on load or look at repairing the MBR...
