Hi There

My terratec ews88mt is running on its own IRQ
on an Ahtlone/AMD 2000+XP
Jetway V333DA motherboard
Seagate 80Meg HD
512MB Ram (Samsung)
Windows 2000 SP3

While using Cool Edit Pro 2.0 my machine blue screens with the error

***STOP: 0x000000D1 (0xBFDA67D4, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xBFDA67D4)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

***Address BFDA67D4 base at BFD94000, DateStamp 3e009996 - ews88wdm.sys
***Address BFDA67D4 base at BFD94000, DateStamp 3e009996 - ews88wdm.sys

Beginning Dump of Physical Memory

According to the Mircosoft website this error is caused by a fault in the driver. Can anyone confirms or deny this, or if perhaps you believe it could be something else causing the machine to fail? I've assumed its failing on the driver as it lists ews88wdm.sys in the error message.

I have included a link to the microsoft page detailing what they believe causes this error.(just in case any-one happens to be interested)

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/reskit/prmd_stp_ottj.asp?frame=true

Can any-one help me here as I have had a great time using sound card up until now but have become stuck with this error.

That's nonsense. The CPU is running at factory defaults. I'm going to sell my Terratec card and get an M-audio Audiophile 2496. Goodbye Terratec, forever!

I have the Asus P4P800 deluxe and also have the problem.
i've been searching the net a little and most people say it has something to do with the network card. microsoft says it has something to do with another brand gigabit adapter so i installed some older 3com drivers for the onboard gigabit. now let's hope this solves the case :)
