From: John on 01/26/2003
I am attempting to load W2k on a laptop with W98. I have the most current video driver. I am receiving the following error. Any suggestions?

I am getting exactly the same error trying to upgrade to W2K. I found qbconv32.dll and renamed it, but I still get the same error. Any clues? I have searched for all copies of the QuickBooks DLL and found only one. Help!!

Thanks Bruce.

I don't have Quick Books but I am running Quicken. Any idea if that program may be the culprit?

If you have QuickBooks installed on your current system you will need to find all files labeled QBCONV32.DLL and rename them QBCONV32.DL_. Insert the Windows 2000 disk to install and you should have no problems. Once the installation is complete you must go back and change the files back to their original names.

Good luck, and this worked for me...
