Hello:
In the game DEMO "Beachhead 2000" on the Introductory Screen, when I hit the PLAY button, I should get Internet Explorer opening with a Page that shows two buttons . . . BUY NOW and START PLAYING.

Instead, screen resolution changes to a 640x480x16(hi color) blank screen with "Beachhead 2000" listed in the taskbar. Then, screen changes to (BSOD) with the above error message.

Checking game on a WinME machine (mine's Win95b), I notice in "CTRL ALT DEL" that it says,

(Introductory Screen :)

Cool Windows Program
Beachhead 2000
about:blank - Microsoft Internet Explorer
Explorer
Systray

(START PLAYING:)

Beachhead - Microsoft Internet Explorer
Beachhead16.exe
Beachhead 2000
about:blank - Microsoft Internet Explorer
Explorer
Systray

(GAME OVER:)

Beachhead - Microsoft Internet Explorer
Beachhead16.exe
Beachhead 2000
about:blank - Microsoft Internet Explorer
Explorer
Systray

On my Win95b machine, it seems I only get as far as . . .

MORE INFO:

When I received this error message I was using the "latest" video driver (4.11.01.2560) for this ATI Card. The reason I am now using the "next-to-latest" video driver (4.11.01.2548) is because the game STAR WARS: ROGUE SQUADRON doesn't work correctly with 4.11.01.2560 driver (1-inch black box stays in the middle of my screen).

Also, "Beachhead 2000 Demo" is the ONLY game with this problem . . . and I have at least 30 "demos and Retail game versions" on my computer, recently uninstalled about 18-games for more hard disk space.

I Scandisk, First Aid 98 (daily) and Disk Defrag (weekly).

I replaced (before this game demo) TWO of my THREE original 32MB (PC66) "mostel vitech" (?) memory modules with TWO (PC66/100) "PNY"
128MB memory modules . . . with one of the 128MB modules in the first slot ( BLANK 0) . . . maybe a TIMING problem because of this (???)

I hope I don't get in trouble with this forum by adding this additional postings, but I want you to know everything.

In MY MACHINE (description) - my Virtual Memory should NOT say "LET WINDOWS HANDLE MEMORY" because I have manually set a "fixed" size of 250 MB for both Min. and Max.

Sorry, in rereading my post, I see something else . . .

the reason it says, "about:blank - Microsoft Internet Explorer" under the title (Introductory Screen) is because with this game demo, I noticed I had to OPEN INTERNET EXPLORER "first" before I even start up the DEMO . . . or IE never seems to open, I just see that mouse cursor HOURGLASS "turning and turning."

So by opening IE first, I can get to that START PLAYING page easier.

Additional Info - for my above POST:

Where it says (GAME OVER) . . . where I put "Beachhead16.exe" - it just says, "Beachhead" there instead (no "16.exe" since game is over).
