WIN XP: Sudden Restart During Gameplay Post a Reply
From: Nick on 01/04/2003
I have a problem, whenever I play a game (Civilization III, Dungeon Siege or Neverwinter Nights) My computer suddenly restarts, or freezes in the middle of gameplay. Dungeon Siege, however, has a Gathering Exception Data error.

The things I have done to resolve this error is adjusted my graphics hardware acceleration, I have updated my video driver (made the problem worse) I have disabled my AGP texturing. But to no avail my computer still has these errors.

I am currently running a Windows XP home edition OS, I have a Geforce 2 MMx video card, 256 MB of Ram and more than enough space on my hard drive. If anyone has a resolution to this error. Please help me through either Romote assistance or by emailing me at Nsimeone2000@hotmail.com

Thank you very much,

Nick

I am having a similar problem as well. It happens when I load my most recent saved game which has thus prevented me from playing the game any further.
ANY help would be appreciated!

First of all get the latest detonator drivers from www.nvidia.com next make sure the card or processor is not overheating this will cause the system to reboot.
