Windows 2000 DVD capability Post a Reply
From: Dave on 01/03/2003
Since upgrading from W98 to W2000 two years ago, I have lost my DVD and DVD ROM capability, does anybody know if there are drivers yet for DVD drives running under W2000? I would really appreciate some expert advice on this matter.

No, I don't think it has a DVD decoder, it is an old ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP 2X with 8Mb of memory, circa 1999.

Region already set to 2 (United Kingdom and Europe) but appear to need a decoder so the error message says.

If you can read disks in your drive, but not DVD's, then you will need to set the region of your DVD. Right Click your Drive, click properties, advanced settings.
