I have recently been experiencing this same problem, but for me it occurs at startup. I am not able to connect at all, and am experiencing freezes when I click on the "connections" tab under properties for Internet Explorer. I have a cable modem and not DSL, so this is another difference. I'm wondering if my instant messenger services might be part of the problem, although they have never caused me any issues before.

At any rate, I realize this is not a solution, but I was hoping the information may provide insight, leading to a correction to the problem in both of our cases. Best of luck to you as well, and thanks to anyone who can come up w/the answer to our problems! :)

I have the same problem, every time on word womp.I have no prob with playing MOHAA,Sims, and so on on line.Even in the chat rooms it`s ok,but only in word womp.I think it has something to do with pogo.com?And I don`t think it`s my connection at 385mbs.Even with Kazaa and WinMX it`s great! The only errors are at word womp!

Had the same problem in my girlfriend's computer......blue screen on startup of WordWhomp.....ended up being the network card. Tried getting newer drivers for it but since it was a cheap Cicero card there wasn't much in the way of anything. Went out and bought a D-Link network card.....no problems now.
Hope this helps.

Try downloading a newer version of the Network card driver from Linksys website. This is a popular Network card so I would be surprised if it is causing a problem. However, I would start here.

Are you getting another blue screen that you have not mentioned in your post? Another error message, perhaps? If so, it would be good to post that as well to help us out.

This is in response to Computerpilot's reply: Yes I do have networking which is what my DSL is connected to. It's a Linksys LNE100TX (v5) Fast Ethernet Adapter.I access the web thru internet explorer.I use the AOL, to chat with family and friends and play games.Thats when I get the error message, when Im playing a game...It never happened before I had the networking done. I was able to go on AOL using my DSL line (not associated with AOL DSL) play games and everything...Hope this helps

The NDIS is associated with networking. I am not sure how your DSL is setup and what you mean by 'being on AOL'. How can you be on AOL and DSL at the same time? Are you referring to an AOL DSL service?

Somewhere in these questions lies your problem.

Can you post some more information regarding your DSL and AOL? This would help figure out the exact problem. Also, is your DSL Internet routed to your computer via 10/100 Ethernet or USB? This would also assist in correcting the issue.

As some quick advice to test out the problem before I get your second post...

I would try to reinstall drivers for your networking hardware (ethernet card or USB). Also, if you are using AOL as your browser, discontinue and use Netscape, Internet Explorer, or other browser. This may stop the error message from appearing. You should not be using AOL software on your computer if your DSL Internet is not associated with them. This would cause a conflict.

Look forward to your reply.
