I upgraded my computer from a 486 to a AMD k6-2/350
I tried to reinstall Windows 95 OEM version the
windows setup screen appears then the system locks
up. Any ideas what to do? The board is brand new.

you might want to check the clock speed on your motherboard.

There could be two problems, the first and most common
is some sort of BIOS set up problem, including IRQ
conflicts or other settings, you might want to try
starting with a minimum system with only the
boards in it that you need to start it up. Then put in
each board and let windows see them one at a time
till you figure out which one is causing problems.

The other problem may be the one where Win 95 didn't
run very well on some of the AMD chips without
a patch installed. You would have to get it from
AMD or MS and have it installed somehow before
you do the install. It might be better to get
win 98 and save some time.
