Here's what I could come up with; It's not a win 98 standard DLL thats from the CD ROM, I searched it and looked in all the "driver.cab" files to see if it was there.
It's not on my system, but I am not running the same programs you are.
It is probably something that WAS on your system, and you removed the program so now norton says it's missing. You could install the program if you remember what it was that is. Meaning that norton took a "snapshot" of what was on your computer at one time, and now sees that it's missing. You could figure that it's not a big deal and just ignore it. If this is the only thing missing and the computer works fine, why not?
Depending on who uses this computer, people have a bad habit of removing programs by just deleting the folder it is in, instead of using the "remove programs" feature in the control panel. Maybe they should have moved that feature to the programs menu.
A search on all the major search engines turns up nothing, but that doesn't prove anything.
: We are trying to image a notebook, and ran the Norton Utility Software to ensure all of the dll files are there. A message saying that the ecbteg.dll file cannot be found was displayed. We have no idea who/what/where this is used for. Can anyone help?
: THANKS!
