IExplore invalid page fault in KERNEL.DLL at 015fb Post a Reply
From: Barbara on 05/31/1999
I have received approx.4-6 different invalid page fault messages over the past week. One was just an Eplore invalid page fault... Most of them are with IE5 in Kernel.DLL sometimes Kernel32. Actually I have been receiving them since January of 99 when I purchased my computer from Micron but only occasionally until recently(None tonight, but one this morning when I uninstalled 7thStreet.com plug and play from add/remove - That one said Explore caused invalid page fault in Module Kernall43.DLL at 015f:bff7b9e6. I think I have plenty of memory as I have no big programs inputs. My os is Windows 98 (preinstalled)4.10.1998. I have printed one Microsoft fix for IE5 error corrections but they are too complicated for me. I even contacted an MS person and he helped me change my Java settings and it worked ok for awhile but is continuing again.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

: This could be many things, so you need to try many things to see what fixes it.

: First is to reinstall IE, then if that doesn't work, try reinstall windows.

: If it still happens, then maybe you have a hardware problem, like memory chips that are loose, or just flakey. You can search the knowledgebase here for stuff like "irq" or "ram" and stuff like that for suggestions on fixing hardware problems.

: If you have installed lots of really cool little programs that sit in your system tray, you should think about getting rid of them, its not worth it.
