I would upgrade to '98 anyway - but it sounds like the game needs a upgrade, if it always happens after you play that game, it sounds like it's trashing RAM memory when you play it and thus causes the crash.Technically, it soulds like the stack is getting messed up by the game.
You should also scan for viruses with the latest virus checker since it sounds like you do a lot of downloading games off the internet.
Why not simply quit playing that particular game?
