You may have a motherboard BIOS problem, may need to be upgraded, but before you do that, check to make sure you have the BIOS settings right for your board.: i have a pentium pro processor on a vs440fx motherboard and the ide controllers are not loading right when i install win 98. The OS will not detect my cd-rom or my cd-rw. Any suggestions
