formating notebook hard drive Post a Reply

I want to format my Sharp notebook, but I need to find the way to do it without losing the drivers or the system. The problem is I formated it once, like any other computer, and then it wouldn't let me install anything, because it would ask me for the start-up disk everytime. And since I lost a cable and can't have the floppy and the cd drives connected at the same time, when I switched to the cd to install Windows, it would ask for the start up disk again, so I had to switch to the floppy, and so on.
Then a technician that finally was able to solve it with much patience told me there was a way to format notebooks so they would keep their original systems.
Plus, after that format I lost the screen driver and the quality isn't that good anymore.
