I have a computer I put together myself. It crashes randomly while using Music match,Logitech quickcam, Internet Explorer, Flash 5 movie maker,Quake 3 etc,not at any certain time, or at the starting of these programs, just whenever when using them. It does not crash while using Corel Wordperfect 8, or Red Alert 2,or dos programs such as Lords 2, or my business program. My system has an AMD Athlon thunderbird 900 mhz, 30gb IBM hard drive, 256 mb pc133 ram, diamond viper2 z200, asus a7v socket a motherboard, etc, running on windows 2000 pro. If you have any help for me please respond.

I have a similar system (PIII/866 256Mb pc133 w/ 40Gb Maxtor running W2k. After installing ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon and SB Live Value cards w/ correct drivers (ATI for video and W2k for sound) I began getting blue screen/memory dump crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. Like yours, they are somewhat random. Errors sometimes relate to "kmixer.sys" which I learned is a Win98 resource. When I tried using Creative Labs W2k driver download it bluescreened during install. Surely someone can help us. I am 100% sure it is caused by W2k's inability to handle the sound drivers, perhaps made worse by the video card/drivers also.
