WAOL caused an invalid page fault in module USER.E Post a Reply
From: Don on 08/02/2002
AOL keeps crashing. After signing on to AOL, I get the follwing messages:

THIS PROGRAM HAS PERFORMED AN ILLEGAL OPERATION AND WILL BE SHUT DOWN.

WAOL CAUSED AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULE USER.EXE AT OOLE:00000754

WAOL CAUSED A GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT IN MODULE USER.EXE AT OOLE:00

Can anyone help with the problem resolution on this problem. I'm running Windows '98 and AOL 7.0.

Thanks a bunch.

: I had the same problem recently. I exported my "Buddy" list, email addresses, and user information to my desktop, uninstalled AOL, ran a disk defrag (and a scandisk for good measure), and then reinstalled according to the AOL instructions.: Don't know if you have already tried this, but the solution worked on my system after everything else failed. Good luck.: : : AOL keeps crashing.
