hi i recieved a file from someone who called me on netmeeting sent a small file and went.scanned the file no viruses where found but needed to be opened in something because of that i deleted it. with in a few minutes my norton virus protection closed and my zonealarm close and still wont stay open and cant restart in dos.i found the kernel32 and deleted it only to find my pc wouldnt open.the kernel32 is in the programs on zonealarm but wont let me take it out as it keeps closing.please help


: : I have a pentium and all of a sudden one morning after I started up and went into My Computer/ C /Program Files a "explorer illegal error Kernel32.Dll came up.I am unable to go and open or explore My Computer or My Documents with out this error coming up.I have wiped out my system twice ,formated the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 98 2nd Edition and still have the problem.My hubbie is a tech and has taken my computer apart completly and replaced everything and still the error comes up.Before this happened I did NOT install anything new or down load anything.
: : I don't have any problems going into Start/Programs and I have no problems running any programs from a Cd,ie:games etc.

I'm having the same promblem (Kernel 32.)- but it lools like only folks with problems use this site - makes sense I quess.

I don't know what has caused the kernel 32.Dll error to happen, but each time I try and turn my computer off I get the message vsmon kernell 32.DLL and cannot close my computer. A week ago it only happened occassionally, now it happens each time. Please help.
