I have a 19 inch monitor then switches off when I start Half Life. I dont even get to the intro for Half life. I can swap my monitor to an old 14 inch that works fine, even in the same resolution. This sounds like a simple setup thing in Windows ME but I cant find what.Thankyou for reading. I have a geforce2 gts and a 19 inch monitor on my computer and when I installed the gts the same thing happened to me. First off, try to change the resolution of your desktop to 640x480, if the screen goes black and you have to wait for it to return to 800x600 or whatever, this is the problem that I had, if not, it must be something else...
If it did go black at 640x480 then try going into the display properties,(right click on the desktop) go to settings, go to monitor, and change the refresh rate to adapter default or to optimal, whichever is NOT what it is now... Then reply to this post-up-
