For some strange reasons my pc crash all the time when playing games requires Direct X like Unreal, Quake 3, Half-Life...
I've tried a program called Anti-Crash Pro by Jibreel but still my pc crashes when playing those games...

: it may not be related to direct x but heat. I've seen issues with amd and heat issues when running high grafx applications. Some things that you might want to try would be to reduce agp apeture size in your bios, look for devldr16.exe (comes with sound blaster cards), or even check with the manufaturer of the system for BIOS updates

I agree with larry as this could work, but it isnt anything to do with Compaq as I have a mesh and the same thing happens. Try leaving the case open when playing games for heat circulation.
