Windows fatal exception error

Hi,

I am running windows 98SE (updated to-date) with Mcafee 4.5 antivirus and microsoft personal web server.
When ever I install a new software and restart the computer, I get Fatal exception error 0E. The numbers vary. The recent one is 016F:BFF99B01.

can any one help me.

I run Win 98 2nd Edition SP2,and found that (per their instructions, which I discounted..) my antivirus software (I run McAfee - the disclaimer's non-specific) I neglected to disable prior to the upgrade.

The result was fatal exception 0E and subsequent exception error messages.

Disabling my antivirus software (per the upgrade instructions) and a re-install of WIN 98 SP2 did the trick.

PS: Don't forget to enable your antivirus software when complete.
