Fatal exception error 0E at 0028:C18B421A - HP off Post a Reply
From: Subas on 08/13/2001
Error message :
" A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C18B421A in VxD MXECPV(02)+000002AA

The current application will be terminated."

Return key pressed. Gives another message :

"This was called from 0028:C02A33E2 in VxD VWIN32(05)+00001F0A"

Return key pressed causes the PC to reboot.

I cannot work on the PC as long as the printer is connected to it via the USB port,
because of the above problem !

Going through the board, this has panned out as a SystemSuite problem with the crash protection feature. Ironic.

To solve your problem, disable the error detection and crash proof features of system suite and everything will work fine.

: : Did you ever solve this problem? I get the same error anytime i rint something on my dskjet 932c on win 98
: : also get error VxD vwin32(05) and VxD mxecpv(02)

: : Can anyone help

: I had a case where the client was using windows ME and the system would crash with the mxecpv(02) error msg. We found out that the file is related to an ontrack system sweep program . When we went to msconfig and startup and unchecked the startup options for that program and tried to print, the error did'nt come up

Hey, I got same problems!

As far, I found it to be a fight on relation modem-usb-motherboard

And as far, my oppinion is that there might be a fault in USB driver. So I'll upgrade that one first.

Second, I shall call modem vendor and ask for a new set of drivers for USB driven device. If you have some other device pluged into you USB port, contact vendor of that device.

Thats so far I managed through.

Luck!
